Business phones

Cloud PBX

A cloud PBX is a phone system hosted away from your premises. Your team connects over the internet using suitable desk phones or calling apps on computers and mobiles. We help plan the setup, check your equipment and arrange eligible number transfers.

Free initial phone discussion. Support hours and charges.

When you might not need this

If your current phone system works and meets the team's needs, you may not need to move to cloud calling. A call-routing change or SIP trunks may be enough where the existing system is compatible. We check the problem, equipment and connection before recommending replacement.

When cloud calling may suit your team

One team across locations

Staff in different offices or working remotely can share business calling. Tell us where people work and how customers should reach them so we can check the setup needed.

Calls that reach the right person

We set up call menus, queues, groups of phones that ring together and after-hours rules. Recording and reporting options depend on the platform, licences and requirements agreed for your business.

A choice of devices

Use compatible desk phones, computer or mobile calling apps, and suitable headsets. Existing handsets need a model and compatibility check; moving to cloud calling does not mean every handset must be replaced or can be reused.

What we check before changeover

  1. 1

    People and premises

Confirm users, sites, handset locations, internet, router, cabling, Wi-Fi and power. Include any alarms, fax or EFTPOS using existing lines.

  2. 2

    Numbers and call handling

Check which numbers can move, the current account details and how incoming, outgoing and unanswered calls should work.

  3. 3

    Equipment and testing

Agree compatible devices, licences and access settings. Check emergency calling location details and plan incoming and outgoing call tests.

  4. 4

    Changeover and support

Agree the changeover and staff guidance. Confirm who handles phone-system support, internet faults and third-party equipment, and what ongoing support includes.

Cloud phone system questions

Are month-to-month services available?

SIP trunks and cloud phone systems are available month-to-month. For other services, any minimum term is set out in writing in your quote before you agree.

Can we keep our current business numbers?

We arrange eligible transfers of local numbers, 1300/1800 numbers and blocks of direct-dial numbers. We check eligibility, account details and timing with the providers. Keep the existing service active until the transfer is confirmed; do not cancel it just because the new phones are ready.

Can our existing desk phones stay?

Send the make and model of the handsets and phone system. Some devices can be set up for a suitable cloud platform; others use a different connection or depend on the old system. We confirm compatibility, licences and any replacement equipment in the quote.

What happens if the internet or power fails?

Calling devices need suitable connectivity and power. Tell us which calls are critical so we can discuss mobile apps, alternative call destinations or backup internet where suitable. Availability and limitations need checking; calls may still be interrupted when using these options.

Can it work with Teams or our customer software?

Tell us which Microsoft licences and customer or helpdesk systems you use. Teams Calling and software connections need a compatibility and licensing review. We confirm the supported features rather than assuming every app can connect.

What do you need for a cloud PBX quote?

Send your sites and user count, numbers to keep, current provider, handset models and internet details. Describe reception, queues, remote working, recording or reporting needs, and your preferred changeover date. We set out the recommended equipment, licences, installation, ongoing support and price in writing for you to agree before work starts.
